Techniques and processes used to create sound elements - UNIT 16

In this video I was asked to create a variety of foley sounds and wild tracks using different recording equipment. In the video I had use:

  • A Lavaliere microphone
  • A cannon in-build camera microphone
  • iPhone voice recorder
Below is the evidence to show how I recorded these sounds:

When looking at the pros and cons of using these recording equipment's I had found that:

Recording equipment

Pros

Cons

A Lavalier microphone

Clear and crisp. This allowed the audio to be heard well.

When filming, I had to hold the camera and microphone. This made it hard for me to record the audio well.

A cannon in-build camera microphone

The audio quality of the recordings were sort of clear and was easy to record.

When filming, the camera picked up on the other surrounding noises which made it harder to get the audio I wanted.

iPhone voice recorder

The audio that was recorded was clear and was easy to record.

When I was filming, the iPhone recorded very quietly even though I was next to the objects while recording.

This is for Unit 16.
